You can setup two-factor authentication for Drupal by using AuthAnvil Authtenticator two-step verification. Download the AuthAnvil Authenticator mobile app, install it and grant the application access to the camera so it can scan barcodes / QRCodes to add new applications such as Drupal, to the application.
Upon first activation of the AuthAnvil Authenticator, it will ask for authorization to access the camera. This is so it can use the camera to scan barcodes and Qrcodes from other applications that you wish to pair it with.
The steps for pairing AuthAnvil Authenticator with Drupal are shown below
- Login to your Drupal account. Under your profile, choose Security.
- Click on Setup Application.
You will be asked to confirm your current password.
- Open the AuthAnvil Authenticator and scan the QR Code shown to pair the account with the application.
- When prompted to enter the security code on the screen, tap the new “Drupal” token to reveal the onetime passcode to be used. Once the timer runs out on the screen, a new onetime passcode will appear. This will continue to generate new codes until the Drupal token is closed and the AuthAnvil Authenticator App is back at the home screen.
