Enabling 2FA for BMS/Vorex

As of January 2018 BMS/Vorex now supports 2FA by delegating authentication to AAoD.

Setting up the AAod agent

  1. Log into your instance of AuthAnvil on Demand.
  2. Select Auth Manager.

  3. Select the green plus in the bottom right.

  4. Select Embedded Web Auth.

  5. Name the Agent BMS.

  6. Set Redirect URI (Origin) to https://bms.kaseya.com/AuthAnvil/Connect.aspx

  7. Select the appropriate Policy.

  8. Choose your Sync frequency.
    (The slower the sync the longer the time for agent check-in for updated settings).

  9. Select Add Agent.

  10. Select the BMS Agent. You will need the values displayed to configure BMS.

Setting up BMS/Vorex to accept 2FA.

  1. Log into your instance of BMS.
  2. Select Admin.

  3. Select My Company.

  4. Select AuthAnvil Settings.

  5. Select Authenticator.

  6. Add your AAoD home realm https://(comany name).my.authanvil.com
    Note: Please check that the home realm is entered as HTTPS://

  7. Enter the Client ID (This was the ID from the agent setup earlier).

  8. Enter the Client Key (This was the Key from the agent setup earlier).

  9. Select Enable AuthAnvil Authentication.

  10. Select Save.

  11. Select Admin.
  12. Select Members.
  13. Select edit on the user you wish to enable 2FA for.
  14. Select External Authentication - AuthAnvil

  15. Select Save changes.
  16. Now you should log out of BMS and ensure that the 2FA redirect occurs as expected.
